What is this about?
This website was created as part of a university project aimed at exploring a symbolic object, here the shield, through the theme "Prehistory of the Future," proposed by our professors.
Why choose this object?
I chose the shield because it is an emblematic object that has served humanity greatly. From Antiquity to the present day, shields have retained great symbolic value. I found it interesting to discuss it because it is still present in our societies today.
Glossary
- Big Dipper: A reference to a constellation known today as the Great Bear. This constellation is one of the most recognizable in the night sky.
- The Pleiades (or Pleiads): A group of seven stars well known in Greek mythology and ancient astronomy.
